Finishing Tasks
April 8, 2018
Finally!! The project is over. The last piece of editing is being put into our film as I am writing this blog. The CCR is also coming along very nicely. I am writing my script and I looked at the rubric which tells you what questions are mandatory to answer. There are 4 mandatory questions and I will add a few questions to my CCR interview to lighten up the mood. I don't want the audience to be bored with all these long responses about the lighting or the camera technique. I want the audience to know that I truly care about this film and how it is viewed in the eyes of everyone that is lucky enough to watch it. I will add questions such as "how important is customer satisfaction to you while making this movie?" The audience would love to see this CCR before the movie is released so they could get a sneak peak on how and why everything is done in a certain way. My team is already starting to look at how we will distribute this film into the world so we can get the most people watching the best film ever!

CCR interview script
April 5, 2018
My CCR is coming along nicely. I am going to be doing an interview style CCR so it could be exciting for the audience and they will stay engaged on the information that I am providing. I am almost done writing the script and my girlfriend will be the one conducting the interview while I respond and give feedback on the film opening. I have also been looking at opening credits for scary and mystery movies so I could get a feel for them. I wanted to see how I can incorporate our names on the screen during our film opening as they did in famous movies such as the Sixth Sense and Saw. I have also narrowed it down to 3 songs that we could choose from that will work for our film opening. Plaint, Colorless aura, or Despair and triumph are the 3 songs. I will let Brian choose which one he would like to use for our film. Tomorrow we are going to be meeting in groups and giving feedback on each others projects. This will help me with the finishing touches and let me submit the best possible film opening I could do.

Royalty-Free Music
April 2, 2018
Brian and I have started to look for music to put into our project. We have emailed numerous bands and asked for rights to use their music, but we have been rejected every single time. I found a website called incompetech.com which is royalty-free music that we can use in our film opening. Many of these songs are instrumental only and work perfectly with our genre that we are trying to portray. I have found a couple songs that we could use that include...
- Chillin hard
- Slow jam
- Satiate
- Plaint
- Colorless aura
- Despair and triumph
All these songs can easily found on the website that I linked on the first part of this post. We are also starting to write our CCR scripts because our teacher told us that it will be a good idea to write a script instead of winging it on camera. The CCR has to be entertaining and not put people to sleep when they view it. We will talk more into depth about the CCR on Wednesday and on Friday we are meeting in groups to discuss our projects. This is the final week we have to put our finishing touches on our film opening before we publish it into the world.

Time to Edit
April 1, 2018
Happy Easter Everybody! All of the filming for our opening is finally complete. We went through the terrible acting, the struggle of finding props, and the pain of finding a location. In the end, it was all worth it. This project is going to turn out even better than I thought. All that we have left is to edit this masterpiece then submit. We will have all next week to edit so I took a break for these past few days and set this project aside. My friends who are also making a film opening asked me to be an actor in their movie. I wasn't doing anything so I accepted. I finished acting for them and in return they said that they would help me edit my opening. This worked out perfectly because both of our groups benefited from this and both of the projects will turn out better than before. We will have class time this week and after school Brian and I can meet up with our friends so we can edit this work of art and make it the best possible film opening we can!!

Forest Travels
March 28, 2018
Today we went to the forest to film the rest of the film opening. I did not have the right clothes on because I just came from practice so I was all sweaty. So I told my girlfriend to bring me her jacket, so yeah the green jacket is hers.
We only had to film the scene where Brian had to touch the tree and the camera zooms out. Brian could not make a surprised face so it took us a pretty long time to get the scene finished. It took us so many takes so I thought that we should just change up the angle a little bit so you didn't have to see Brian's face. The camera was behind Brian so it could be an over the shoulder shot and you could only see my character's reaction. This made the scene a lot better because you could see my character's reaction and you could infer that Brian's reaction would be confused. We have finished everything but now I have to do a voiceover and say "welcome to limbo," then we could be done with the greatest film opening ever!
